Congratulations on your citizenship! You can fill out a voter registration form right here. I'll need your name, address, date of birth, and the last four digits of your Social Security number.

It's optional. You can register with a party, or you can choose to register with no party preference. Just keep in mind that in some states, if you're not registered with a party, you may not be able to vote in that party's primary election.

The next election is on November fifth. Once you're registered, we'll mail you a voter information guide and a sample ballot about a month before the election. Your polling place will be listed on those materials, or you can look it up on our website.

Yes, you can request a mail-in ballot. In our state, all registered voters are automatically sent a mail ballot about four weeks before the election. You can fill it out at home and either mail it back or drop it in an official ballot drop box.

Your ballot must be postmarked by election day and received within seven days after. For drop boxes, the deadline is eight PM on election day. I'd recommend mailing it at least a week early to be safe.

You can track your ballot online using the registration lookup tool on our website. It'll show you when your ballot was mailed, received, and counted. You'll also get an email or text notification if you opted in.
