Those are heirloom tomatoes — each one is a little different in color and shape. They look ugly compared to store-bought ones, but the flavor is out of this world. Way better than supermarket tomatoes.

Honestly, the simpler the better. Just slice them thick, drizzle some good olive oil, sprinkle sea salt and fresh basil — that's a perfect summer salad right there. You don't want to cook them because they're so flavorful raw.
